Make an installable from a vm linux distro?

Post by Helife » Fri Jun 19, 2020 5:46 pm

I am searching for a way to transform my actual Manjaro VM distro to an actual installable distro

The distro should be able to install grub and itself with all the customisations I've made

The idea would be that I configure i3 git vim colorscheme and everything

To be used directly

By the way DT if you pass over here you inspired me a lot for vim since march

Here is the result of 3 months usin vim : https://gist.github.com/Heliferepo/c4f8 ... 4a5645c2d7

Have a good day everyone

You are going to have to elaborate on this one.

It is already installable by installing i3 Manjaro, cloning your dotfiles and perhaps installing some dependencies.

I suppose you could image your boot drive with the virtual drive but there would be some GRUB and fstab work to do before it would boot. It's probably easier to make a shell script to pull down your configs with git and just run that on a fresh install of Manjaro.
