Favorite Programming Language

What is your favorite programming language.

Mine is c#. when combined with dotnet core it allows me to make a command line app, web apis and even do a full stack(server side and client side) web app. while it sadly doesnt have first party support for linux dekstop there are third party frameworks that allow creation of such applications.
Use whatever tool makes your job easier.

Ruby probably. I like that its pure OOP as opposed to python and the syntax is cool. It's great for rapid web development with Rails. Creating desktop apps, not so much.

My favorite language is whichever one is best for the job. haha pragmatism.
I've been tinkering around with Rust and I'm really enjoying it. Also enjoying Haxe to a great extent.
If I ever coded a game, it would probably be in Haxe with the heaps.io engine.
Rust seems really good for system level stuff. Utilities, Terminals (alacritty)... Have a look at the redox-os project on github. It's an entire operating system made in pure Rust.

For my job, I have to manipulate and extract useful information from text files. So far, awk has been really good at this and I enjoy working with it.

When I have to do some math, python's Scipy has been really helpful.

In the future, I would like to learn Fortran (for my job), perl, python, and C

My favourite programming language is probably Go.

If I was stuck with one language for the rest of time, it would be C.
