Re: File-Arranger Script i made

Good job. Your GitHub usage seems all good. Aside from the initial one your commit messages are imperative which puts you ahead of a lot of developers already :D. Worry about branching and so on when you find the need for it. Pushing to master is good enough for simple projects. When you are writin...

Re: File-Arranger Script i made

Ah, so you just run the script and it takes everything cluttering up your Downloads directory and puts them in the appropriate directories based on file extension? Very cool. Hey DT bigfan and yeah, I originally did some messy stuff with it but i meet a cool old timer that helped me make it really ...

File-Arranger Script i made

Hello everyone i know i don't post here often but id like to share a script i wrote in bash along with someone else in an arch group on Facebook. This script was written in bash and only has one dependency the inotify-tools package. It's purpose is to organize files that are places in the ~/Download...

I've been enjoying keepassxc since its cross platform, lightweight and even offers a CLI interface.

Re: Ryzen 7 2700x vs Ryzen 5 3600 for Video Production

I'd say you'd probably have better performance with 2700x because it can make better use of applications that use multiple cores and threads. but with single core performance from gaming with these two CPU's i only saw a 5-10% difference with the 3600 beating the 2700x. I personally got the 2700x an...

Just gonna put my five cents here.
You can't have vulkan and wayland at the same time with nvidia. Proprietary driver doesn't do wayland. Open-source driver doesn't do vulkan.
Amd can do both.
Wow i didn't know that thanks im gonna check that out soon.

Re: Best B450 Motherboard for linux

I was planning on an X570 board, but after thinking long and hard about it, I've decided to buy an MSI Tomahawk MAX B450 board and a cheapo Ryzen 5 3600x. I just don't need the horsepower anymore.... All the data pushing and number crunching has come to an end for me.... I just putter around on the...

Re: What Linux-y thing have you been playing with?

I worked with another member of another Linux group online to develop a simple bash script that would move downloaded files to set directories. Like .png or .jpg would go into Pictures or .opus or .mp3 would go to Music. I download a lot of stuff and I'm lazy so its nice having automation organize t...
