I am using Proxmox as vitualization environment and bare bone Debian as base for server os. I am also experiementing with Apline linux as server OS.

I bought a used Supermicro server with 32 cores anf 64GB or RAM and installed my new Proxmox virtualization enviorment on it. Pretty hardcore but I am a bit worried about the power consumption. :roll:

I have just written my own backup solution in Python (and still under development). The program reads an input file (/etc/backup_list). That file contains a list of the files and directories I want to backup. It also reads input where pack and save the files. And then i set up cron to run the backup...
